This is a fun, slightly tangential update for you! I was recently approved to open an Amazon Storefront, so I guess I’m officially an influencer now??
What is an Amazon storefront?
According to Amazon’s Creator University,
“The Storefront provides a one-stop shop for followers to browse all your content and product recommendations, get inspired, and shop on Amazon.
Drive traffic to your Storefront to start earning commissions when shoppers purchase products from your recommendations.”
What’s in my Amazon storefront?
I’ve made a few curated lists of things I buy and love from Amazon (or things I buy and love from Target that you can also find on Amazon… if Target wants to give me a storefront, I can fill that thing up even faster lol). Here are some of the categories of items:
- Beauty products
- Baby products
- Books
- And more books!
- (and duh!) Cake Decorating Supplies
- Sugar Flower Supplies
- Office Supplies
- Shipping Supplies
Why did you open a storefront?
This is an easy-ish way for me to make a little extra income on top of what I make from selling Sugar Flowers. In years past, I made about $20 a year in affiliate income. So it’s not a lot! And I’m not about to start selling any old junk, either. But I do have opinions about the products I buy, and if I can grab a few pennies out of Amazon’s profit to share them with you, I don’t see why not. And a storefront is a more centralized way to share my affiliate links. You can also find some of them in my Instagram story highlights.
I’m also not trying to pivot from being a Sugar Flower Artist to being a full-time content creator and influencer. When I call myself an influencer, it’s very tongue-in-cheek.
But I’m also an entrepreneur, and I like tinkering with technology, so hey, let’s try this thing out. If you see something you like in my storefront and you buy it, I’ll earn some commission, and it won’t cost you anything. And if you’re just nosey and want to see what kind of shampoo I use, I won’t judge! I would just want you to send me links to your shampoo too so we can be nosey together. 😉
I have other interests outside of sugar flowers and business, too! So this blog is a way to share a bit more about my life without taking away from the main focus of this blog/website/business. I’ve got a list of diabetes products and ADHD life hacks, and I’ll keep adding to it as I think of more things!
