Hi! I'm Kelsie Delisle—
A cake decorator turned Sugar Artist who has loved flowers and cakes since those early days as a toddler making “mud pies for the birds” in my backyard.
Now I have a toddler of my own, and oooh boy do I have intimate knowledge of what “so much to do, so little time” means.
I’ve been working in the cake industry since I was fresh out of high school (don’t remind me of senior year when I was going to college full time and working 2 jobs while also somehow making cakes for my friends).
In bakeries large and small, I saw that though cake artists wanted high-quality flowers for their cakes, they couldn't dedicate the time to create them.
So I hung up my oven mitts, and I stopped making cakes. Now I focus on my creative passion: Sugar Flowers!
Since starting Kelsie Cakes seven years ago, I’m so proud to offer flowers that are sturdy enough to ship around the world but delicate enough to look real.
And I offer both ready-to-ship flowers for last-minute orders (hey, we’ve all been there) and fully custom floral arrangements for high-end wedding cakes. My goal is to save you time without compromising your quality or artistic vision.
Bottom line: I love helping other cake designers complete their edible masterpieces with handcrafted Sugar Flowers.
I work from my home studio in Tampa, FL, and ship flowers all over the world. When I’m not working, I’m either napping, playing outside with my son, or watching hockey with my husband. (But probably napping.)
